E-Bay Selling

I would be hoping that they would require a cell contract for everyone buying the phone. I am just thinking of ways to limit the e-bay reselling. Of course I guess if they have enough supply it won't really matter.

I just don't want to be looking around trying to get an iPhone while people are hoarding them for E-Bay.

Would requiring a contract limit people from selling them on E-Bay or not really?

Not at all. You can transfer the phone contract, or you can pay the early termination fee (probably like $200). I guarantee you eBay will be flooded with them, but there'll be people bidding them up to the $2-3k range just like with the PS3/Wii. Personally, I'll be getting in line for one so that I can play with it for a few days, then I'll probably sell it to a friend or throw it up on eBay.
