Per title. I have both in-ear headsets and they worked perfectly under iOS 16. Now in iOS 17, the Fit Test consistently fails for both. Which also means ANC is crap and Bass response is nil.

I "forgot," reset, and re-paired each, no difference.

The result is the same on iPhone, iPad (IPadOS 17), Mac (Sonoma).

Both are running latest firmware (5B66 for Beats, 6A300 for Apple).

WTF Apple. I'm seriously considering returning the APP, selling the BFP, and getting Jabra's new Elite 10.
 
Is your APP version 1 or 2?

I had the APP1’s when they first came out and after a few months they would fail ear fit test, causing ANC and bass to be reduced. There was a thread here a while back where it was discovered the port facing towards the ear could be cleaned out, but this would only help for a week or so for me, until I had to clean it again.

They changed this particular port on APP2 and I don’t have the same issue anymore.

Can’t speak to your BFP’s though.

But you're totally missing the point. Fit test was perfect in iOS 16, failed in iOS 17. I don't think iOS gunked up any ports.
