Hi, I have a 2008 imac (8,1) and I wanted to get the 4gb+ 2gb of ram but for some reason its $130 on macsales.com

Is there anywhere else that I could get it cheaper because hes getting 8gb of ram for $50 less....

I am hoping upgrading from 4 to 8gb of ram will give me a modest boost in FPS in world of warcraft on my mac

I have http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Modules-1066MHz-KTA-MB1066K2-8G/dp/B001PS9UKW as a possible deal.. do you think this ram is good for the price? or is there something better out there?

Are you running WoW on mac os x? If so, you might want to consider running it on Windows 7 if you're hungry for the FPS increase. I get this advice from a friend who has an early 2010 iMac (or late 2009) and claims about 15-20 more FPS on Windows 7 than on Mac OS X :(

Yeah, it's a sorry truth that cross-platform games generally work better through Boot Camp.

Half-Life 2 and Portal, for instance, don't run as well - given the same settings - on my Mac partition as they do on my Windows partition.
