I just replace the memory in a early 2013 iMac 21.5. As I was putting it back together I knocked off the thin plastic piece shown in the pic. Got it back on but was wondering what this is for? It's very thin plastic and doesn't look like it does much.

It's just there to stop any interaction from the LCD to the PSU, else things go pop
 
Next time you know that you don't need tj mess with PSU to replace ram on 2013 imac
