Just installed the PB4 on my daily driver machine and am actually quite happy.
It doesn't have the hang ups like Mavericks did, and I find the design aspect great too. Went back to Mountain Lion after Mavericks seemed to slow down my comp.

No spinning ball as much anymore. Some apps freeze a bit, and close, but thats to be expected.

Was thinking about getting a new iMac this year, but with this update, I can probably hold off for another year, or until I fill up the HD again! LOL, 320GB isn't near enough.

For reference, these are my specs.

That's good to hear, as the iMac my wife uses is identical to yours.

If there's a Microcenter near you, they are an authorized Apple repair center and will replace iMac HDD for $50 + cost of the replacement drive (at least, that's what they said on the phone). I am planning of getting a 2TB drive installed in the next couple of weeks.

I just wish mine supported more than 8GB of ram.
Sometimes I feel like 16 would of been ideal.

I thought early 2009 iMac supported only 1066 Ram...yours is 1333?
