Here's a cool little tweak that does something very simply. It puts a headphone icon in your statusbar if you connect headphones.

As to why you'd want to do this…well, I see it in the same way as a mute icon in the statusbar.

No idea if it does or not.

I'm ok with pointless though for wired headphones. Works for me.

OK. Discovered this last night after connecting to my car.

It does not show a heaphones icon in the status bar for bluetooth headphones (or any BT connection), but it does show on the lockscreen! I guess the assumption is that you'd have your phone locked when playing music. Note that this icon shows for any BT connection, not just BT headphones.
