Hello, finally got my iPhone activated and working and made a few test phone calls... I had perfect singal..calling both cell phones and land lines and when the phone is up to my ear (using the earpiece) it sounds like it is in a tin can and staticy and crackley... sounds like the earpiece speaker is broken...ahh.. anyone else havnig that problem? I baught it at the At&T store - would they exchange it ?

I assume that no one else is having this problem and the sound coming out the earpiece is clear?

Well, mine is clear but the highs are lower than I am used to. However my external speaker crackles a lot when set to a higher volume.

Just an FYI. I "think" that even if you bought it at an ATT store, you have to go to an Apple store for service/exchange. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the lady who sold me mine told me all warranty issues were the responsibility of apple.

That is fine - I setup a Genius Bar appointment for today. I purchased it at an AT&T store but I assume they would exchange at the Apple Store?

I just saw this thread after I posted a thread about this same issue in the other section. I am having the same issue. I might take it to the Apple store and see what they say.
