What's the easiest way to zero my new Mini Server disk and install regular Lion? I have the Lion dmg on USB if that helps. Does it need to be a special Lion or any Lion will do?

And actually now that I'm in Lion server, besides the server globe icon, the OS seems identical to regular Lion. Is there really a point in me deleting this server and installing the regular Lion?

Would this server edition somehow negatively affect my DAW applications like Logic Pro or something?

Shouldn't have to

From what I understand and what Apple indicates on their site and in the App Store, "Lion Server" is really just Lion + some additional tools. You can even buy the server tools separately on the App Store as a bolt-on. I wouldn't bother with a reimage.

You are exactly right. No point. Could come in handy down the road anyway with my audio set up especially since I'm in Japan. I'm going to upgrade my boot disk to SSD in a couple of months anyway. Can't frikkin' wait to see how SSD screams.
