iCloud Easiest workflow to backup iCloud drive

Hi all,

I want to back up everything on my iCloud Drive to an external hard drive. Mainly files and photos.

I don’t have the space to download it all locally to my MBP so ideally looking for the easiest workflow to back everything up to the external drive that doesn’t involve this.

A huge bonus if there is a workflow that allows me to sporadically update the data on the hard drive so it is up to date without having to download everything’s if each time.

In case pertinent, I currently use time machine with a synology NAS… when it works!
