Well, I got my new 80GB hard drive in the mail today, and I did not want to spend much time or work moving all my current hard drive's (48GB) info EXACTLY as is over to the new 80GB drive.

So, I am looking around Disc Utility in Panther, and I find that there is a Restore Tab for each drive. I tried to restore from the 48GB to the external firewire 80GB with the 48GB as the boot drive, but that kept giving my errors. So, I booted off one of my external 30GB drives, and restored from the 48GB internal to the 80GB external. It is quite self expanitory if you look at the restore tab. It perfectly cloned my 48GB to my 80GB, no prolems at all while starting up and running off the newly cloned 80GB.

So, if anyone is ever in this situation, this seems liek the best way to do it. Also seems like a great way to back up your hard drive to another drive.
