EDIT: All good. Found just what I was looking for: "Stringed 2" (https://stringed.buenosapps.com/)
Hi all
For over a decade on my MacBook Pros that I have owned throughout the years, I have used the Quicktime Player 7 Pro application to playback media when I've wanted to quickly change the pitch. I've known for a while now that the player will not be supported beyond Catalina, when 32-bit apps cannot be used in the Mac architecture.
I've kept my old MacBook Pro for now with Mojave when the app fortunately still works with no issues, but I've bought a new desktop Mac with Big Sur. It's a real struggle to find software that does what I'm looking for that's up-to-date in 64-bits!
It doesn't need to be an application that is solely devoted to changing pitch; but it does need to be one of the features that it can do quick and easy. I'm aware that VLC can change the pitch of tracks as well on Mac, but it's nowhere near as simple a process as it was via Quicktime 7, where you could open the file and immediately switch the pitch up or down by up to four semi-tones (pictured is the QT Pro 7 A/V Controls panel).
If anyone has any pointers to a media player on Mac where the pitch can be changed in a simple manner, I'd be sincerely grateful. Thanks!
