Has anybody got any nifty methods for attaching an external hard drive to the back of the M1 iMac? I really don't want to spend £40 on one of those Twelve South ledges.
 
I would go with double sided tape, but if you want something that didn’t potentially leave residue, you can use zip ties on the hole in the stand.

If you want to easily remove the drive, you could zip tie a small mesh pouch to the back of the stand and keep drive on that.

Velcro strips work well (depending on the weight and size of the external drive)

Yep... I use these and it works well.
