I installed XP and Vista on My MacPro but while in Vista, the startup disk selector in the control panel no longer appears and to get back into OSX I have to hope that I can hit the alt/option key at the right time upon rebooting to get the OSX selection screen. Is there anyway to make this process easier and have a startup disk selector in the vista control panel?

AFAIK Vista is not officially supported by bootcamp? A long shot but copying the stratup disk program into vista directly might work?

Its not going to help you but for others you can hold down "menu" no the apple remote as the machine is starting up and you get the choose disk screen.

Well, did you try to install the BootCamp drivers/software in order to get the Startup Disk Control Panel? Or does it not install or not work.

You don't have to "hope" to hit the option key at the right time, just hold it down from the moment the machine restarts until you see the boot selector.

I can't seem to get the drivers for the startup disk to install as you have to extract all drivers to install them to vista.

So what you're saying is that you're trying to install an unsupported version of Windows via beta software and you can't seem to hold down the option key?

Yeah...good luck with that.

Really I would like an easier way for my wife and others to boot into OSX as truly holding the option key down on the wireless bluetooth keyboard fails occasionally.
