Hi i purchased my iMac a few weeks ago and now that i have returned from my holiday i am looking to transfer my itunes library from my old PC to my Mac. Now i have heard many ways to do this using external hard-drive and a few other methods but i was doing some research on the internet and found this product which is a transfer cable compatible between PC and Mac now i was thinking that i would be able to just plug one end into my laptop and the other into my mac and then i could transfer the itunes data from my PC to where it should be on the Mac. Would this work i have also heard that i would need to transfer purchases and i have a few webpages on how to do this from previous threads but would i need to do anything else for this to work. I have included a link from the webpage where this product is available in my home country if you would like to take a look at the product and specifications. Thanks in advance. George

I had to transfer my iPhotos and iTunes library from an external drive to my new iMac. I had done a lot of research and used migration assistant and it did not work.

Anyways, I called AppleCare and they were able to get them both transferred in about 30 minutes. Whew.... If you have AppleCare I would call and have them walk you through it.

There were quite a few steps to make sure all the music I downloaded moved over to the new library.

Hope all goes well for you. :D

Hi thanks for the reply however i don't currently have AppleCare and i wont be getting it for at least few months before my 1 year runs out. I just hope the method i spoke about works or i will not be able to transfer my itunes library for some time.
