Hello, and a Happy New year to all,

Have been looking at all the Posts and reviews for a new UPS, and have
decided to try an Eaton product this time.
Have been very unhappy with the APC unit I have had.

Have spent a lot of time going thru the Eaton site re their UPS's, but it is still a bit
confusing re their Mac software, if any.

For their 3S VS550VA unit, (and I expect for most any other they offer for the home)
do they actually have software to control the auto-shutdown function for an iMac ?
(any link to it would be appreciated)

If so,does it work "well" with an iMac ?

Might as well also ask, please: any general thoughts or comments on Eaton UPS's ?

Thanks,
Bob

The software will be available in System Preferences > Energy Saver > UPS when your iMac detects the UPS Just love my Eaton UPS.

You can set shutdown etc from the preferences window there.,
