ebay advice needed

Okay, I have not bought anything from ebay in a reallllly long time. I was looking at the iHome clock radios on there for docking iPods. I'm a little cautious about buying things because I am afraid of getting scammed or getting a damaged/broken item.

For people who use ebay, what percent is considered "good" feedback? Like one of the sellers has a feedback #/score of 120055, with 92.3% positive. Most of the comments are obviously positive, but that is still quite a few negative comments.

Has anyone dealt with this "store?"

Anybody with a feedback of 120,000 should be pretty trustworthy.

Yeah, I think i remember reading that on one of the auctions. And while it's not a fortune, I'm a college student and don't want to waste money if things aren't going to work properly or I'll have to end up returning it. hmmm. Thanks!

Unfortunately feedback has very little meaning these days on ebay. Most sellers will not leave feedback for you anymore until the buyer leaves feedback first, and this causes the buyer to many times leave positive feedback even for a bad experience simply because he is afraid of making the seller mad and getting a bad feedback in return. I know that I wokred very hard to keep my feedback very high as a seller and always tried to "do the right thing" to earn that rating. Now that rating is virtually meaningless. I very carefully review an item for sale, and the feedback, and the types of items that seller habitually sells, and his terms. So far I have managed to get burned only once with a counterfeit item, but the seller made it right immediately by returning all of my moeny, including the shipping (very unusual).

P.S. I have found it very rare to find a good buy on ebay, but the selling prices are great. My biggest word of caution would be to not get caught up in the bidding frenzy; set yourself a maximum amount that you are willing to go (remember to include shipping) and stick to it.

I have only had one problem from a seller, but its mostly my fault for trusting him with no feedback. I think you should be fine but if something is to good to be true then it is.

I don't t think I would buy anything from them personally.
10851 negs is too many for my taste. This seller is all about volume and customer service will lack due to that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well, so I decided against it, and am just going to hold off for the time being. I don't want to risk it. Thanks for the advice!
