Ebay has removed American Express from use on their site, and that was the reloadable card that I used for all Internet purchases, adding just enough funds to cover what I was buying. Worked good and I did not expose any important accounts and cards to some crappy site that stores passwords and info in plain text. However, Ebay shows Apple Pay as an option, and that will work also, since that card is also reloadable and has minimal funds available for theft.
Or rather, it would work if I could find the link. Checking out, there is the usual list of options, Paypal, credit cards, etc, but no Apple Pay. Went back and looked again to see if I misread their info and no - it plainly says Apple Pay on iPhone, iPad and Mac Safari.
Back to checkout. No Apple Pay. Of course, there is absolutely no way to get to a help desk and their AI help could get awards for dumbness.
