They had plenty at t mobile today so those eBay price will not hold. No one in the US will pay that kind of money for an 8+.

They won't sell at retail price, because it's still available....lol. They either have to return them or take that lost and sell cheaper.
Yes, the iPhone 8 has not been kind to scalpers due to less demand and more stock, which I could easily foresee would happen. But they certainly still try...

Anyone got $5000 to burn?

There are several sellers asking for upwards of $1000. I thought there was low demand for this model?

They must just be fishing for somebody that has no clue to availability in stores or somebody has money to spend for the sake of those who are ignorant to paying that dollar amount . Because the iPhone 8 is clearly available in most areas.

I seriously hate scalpers. Back when the Nintendo classic was out people were selling them for $300+ Facebook sale site I’m on. So I created a fake Facebook site and told them I wanted it and would pay the price, and had them meet me somewhere that was a half hour from their house. Then just never showed up. They deserved it tbh.

There is very little demand and if you search ebay now, most prices for 256Gb iPhone 8Plus has fallen to about $900 - much less thanthe official retail price so it doesn't make any sense for scalpers to buy now.

Over here in Singapore, even on launch day, you couldn't sell a brand new phone to people evermore with a discount of $100. I know cause I've been trying to sell my spare iPhone 8 Plus since launch day. No buyers. Even the shops are not taking in without a discount of $500. Thats just nasty! Id rather keep as spare at this price.

Don't think that will work either. Those clueless buyers won't be looking at eBay as their first point of contact, they will most likely asking Apple stores first, which most still have stock. People who search eBay for iPhones tend to be a bit more aware of iPhone launch and pricing, plus there are other eBay prices to compare with. So in the end, those greedy scalpers are toasted. Deservedly so, muahahaha :D
