I recently purchased a mid 2010 MacBook Pro 15.6 inch with 8GB RAM and a 250GB HDD as a new daily driver. And it is in excellent condition! After being burned so many time on specifically 2009-2010 MacBooks in the recent past with terrible condition laptops (didn’t have this problem a few years ago), I am amazed this thing looks wonderful.
When I first booted it up, I went through setup and finished installing the OS. Started to do some other things, then It reset and started again. Tried using it again, did the same thing. This time I checked the system report and noticed GPU KERNEL PANIC. Oh.. this is that model that has that defect…
Looking into the best options to deal with this garbage failing GPU. The condition of the screen and overall laptop however makes this ok for me. 15.6 16:10 LCD
