While talking to people on my iPhone, they complain that they can hear themselves, a sort of echo effect. I have no such problems on my end of the line. Is this is network or iPhone problem?

Anyone having an echo from the other person when using speaker?

I have been using speaker alot on the IPhone and the people I talk to say they hear themselves like an echo. This happens to just about everyone I talk too any fix to this or what?

same with 2 different iPhones

the sound is just traveling back into the mic, no way around it i'm afraid!

I have been experiencing an echo issues with my callers for a week now. People the I talk to over the phone complaints that they can hear an annoying echo. I hear my self perfectly fine. I called AT&T to ask if there was soemthign wrong with their services, they claimed to be the phonebecause their service is perfectly fine. It dosen't make any sense because I would think that if there was somethign wrong mith my iphone I would be hearing my echo. Anyone have an idea? Or Similar issues?

The problem with my phone seams to be resolved, one solution I discovered through experience was to lower the phone volume two notches from maximum this seamed to resolve the problem consistently, but haven't noticed it at all lately.

Thank you. I will try that. Hopefully it works. I don't use the speaker unless I have to. My freinds complaints that they can hear themselves and that is annyoing. Many don't bother to call me anymore hahah. In a way is good because I can save my anytim minutes. :D

I'm still having Echo Issues. Everyone complaints that they can hear themselves. Do you guys think it may the iphone sevice or the network. Can someone advise.

After putting different firmwares on the iphone without success, I open the antenna cover. I saw that the filter (piece of cloth) on the mic was not on the precise spot. I put the filter back on and the echo is gone.

Maybe I should say that I didn't had any echo problems in the beginning, then after opening up the iphone (for another reason) I had the echo. So I thought I open the iphone again just to see whether I have put everything back in the right spot. There I found that the piece of cloth was just a bit crooked

hope this helps, L.
