I'm trying to get updates for Eclipse 3.2 (Calisto) using the update dialog. It goes to the point where it asks you where to install the updates and points to my eclipse directory. However, the buttons are greyed out and browsing to any other directory won't enable them either. Seems I have a permission problem, but I don't understand why as I am using the same user that I originally installed the base Eclipse with. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Check the permissions on the plugins and features folders. This is where it tries to write most of its files. Also, check the workspace file to make sure its writable, as I think adding features modifies that as well.

XAMPP:correct installation

I tried to install Eclipse's "friend" - XAMPP- today. However
I keep receiving a message about incorrect installation(saying that it should be installed at : Applications/xampp). Please, advise me if I should reinstall it or do something else?
