Does anyone know if Eclipse works on the new Apple MAcBook Pro with the Apple M1 Silicone.
I have installed it and when i try to run, it just hangs. Nothing works.
Tried everything to reinstalling the package.
I cant find an Ecplise package specifically created for M1 Mac.
I was sceptical that development packages may not work with the Apple Silicone.

Let me know if someone has installed this and working.

Have you installed rosetta 2 package? Alternatively there are some Arm specific version of the JVM you could try :

I thought the rosetta package comes installed in the Mac so that it can translate all existing applications to work properly with the M1 Chip.

I use the OpenJDK build from azul.com and the most recent version of NetBeans for Java development. I'd be wary of saying that development packages "may not work" with Apple Silicon based on one app. So far, I've gotten NetBeans, Atom, Brackets, and the JetBrains apps working fine on my Mac.
