Edge data plan on iPhone to good to be true? (FIDO TORONTO)

Hey everyone,

Help me out here.

I have the original iPhone with a FIDO pay as you go service. Since I have upgrade my firmware to 2.0 with PWNAGE, I have been getting my Mobile ME emails via EDGE data service!

I do not have a paid data plan as I am on Pay As You Go. I have checked my account balance numerous times and I am not being billed for any data. THIS IS PRETTY SWEET!

Does anyone know what is up? I am not worried about getting a bill afterwards as I am on a pay as you go service.

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback?

Do you happen to get data with your plan?

I know one provider around here charges $14.99/mo for unlimited text messaging and unlimited data. There is no unlimited text plan that does not include unlimited data.

If you go to Settings -> General -> Usage you can view how much "Cellular Network Data" you have sent and received. What does that say?

Well I don't have a contract plan. It is a simple and pay and talk service.

The data seems to be intermittently working. Right now it is not working, but I know in a few hours it will work again and I will have PUSH again with my Mobile ME.

The usage stats show cellular data in and out.

how long have you been using it? It will show on your next billing cycle if there are charges. My bet is that you are getting charged for it. But let us know after your next billing cycle

I do not receive monthly statement as I am on Pay as you go. I simply buy FIDO phone cards from Convenience stores and gas stations.

Like I said before, I am not on a contract is this is a bare bones service.
