EDGE down today?

I live and work in downtown Seattle, WA and I had quite a bit of trouble with EDGE today. From when I woke up this morning (around 6am) until about 6pm, I could not connect to EDGE. The little "E" didn't show up in the upper left AT ALL during those twelve hours. It was especially weird because I normally have EDGE service the WHOLE DAY, and I was in the same places today. Did anyone have a similar experience? Or should I pay a visit to an Apple Store for a faulty receiver?

It's kind of strange. I didn't even think to check until this afternoon when I was at the grocery store and looking at the things on my list on the phone. I noticed the "E" was missing. I figured there was some issue because I was in the grocery store, but it was even like that in my car when I left. So I decided to turn the phone off and back on again. For some reason that fixed it. So not sure if it was an edge problem or just that the phone needed to be reset. This is the first time I've had that happen.
