Edge keep awake for 1.1.2?

Apollo and chat will not work after putting the phone to sleep because apparently edge shuts down... They used to keep the connection active...

Is there any 3rd party utility to assist in this?

Yes, JohnTool in installer.app tells summerboard to keep the network connections alive in sleep mode.
