I know there were EDGE issues today, but now I can disable WiFi entirely and surf with Safari just perfectly using EDGE. So EDGE is up here in Atlanta anyway. BUT... ever since the issue this morning, now when I connect to my WiFi network, and it does connect and get an IP address just fine, and my WiFi laptop can browse just fine, the iPhone won't get any data via WiFi at all. I don't get it. Safari just says, "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." The widgets can't get any data either.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas for fixing it? I tried doing a full reset and restore. No luck. I may have to visit the Apple store tomorrow...

Just wanted to pass on the resolution to this in case anyone else has this problem. It's partially an iPhone bug. Apparently the first DNS server for my ISP went down. My laptop's smart enough to fall back to the secondary DNS server. Although a second one is listed on the iPhone, it apparently won't use it, and Safari times out because the first DNS server was down. I switched the 2nd one with the 1st one in the wireless setup on the iPhone and it's working. It shouldn't obviously happen very often, but Apple needs to fix this in the future.
