Edit config file for Counter-Strike: Source?

Can someone tell me where the config file for counter-strike: source for Mac OS X is?

I can't find out where it is suposed to be

Thanks a lot! that works for me. I have alreaady solved my issue via the console , but acces to the cfg can be lots of fun lol.

I tried to set max_fps in the config file but it didn't work, also the game doesn't save my filter settings, is there a startup command to fix this, I seem to remember that on windows version maybe?

I think you might need to make your config only readable and not writeable , so it won't be overwritten. Im not entirely sure, but Ive read that somewhere.
