Hey guys,

Just a quick question.

I took some great photos of my July 2011 trip to London and edited them in iPhoto '11 and they turned out amazing! However, when I synced the event to my iPhone 4S, the photos DO show but they are the ORIGINAL unedited versions instead. Why exactly is that?

I believe that it might be due to the fact that it was taken on my Sony digital camera (since the photos were taken in July and the 4S obviously didn't come until October when I got it) and that photos taken with my iPhone 4S show up just as I how edited them on iPhoto.

I tried googling this problem everywhere but I couldn't find the problem that I'm trying to resolve so I decided to make a post in hopes that some of you might have a little insight on this minor issue. I think I might know the answer but I just want to double-check and make sure.

I definitely want to go to London some day. So jealous.

I'm new to iPhoto but I did take a photo and edit it in iPhoto today and what I did was export my photo from iPhoto to my PhotoStream (assuming you have iCloud and PhotoStream active). That seemed to push the updated/edited photo to my iPhone.

I'm sure there's a more logical way to do it in an album - someone else will probably chime in.

Yeah, London's a great city and I wanna go back again this summer but with the 2012 Olympics, it might be a little hectic.

But it's not a PhotoStream issue because I did say I took the photos on a Sony digital still camera but I edited the images in iPhoto and they are fantastic and it even surprises me. It's just that when I synced it to my iPhone, it synced but it shows the original versions as they were taken.

It's weird but there's probably something I'm doing wrong, I just don't know right now.

Just an idea...since those photos are probably in an album, why not try to "share" them to photo stream? I know that doesn't solve the problem, but it should export the edited versions.
