Hello all,
What a great forum, you all already helped me solve several issues over the years - joined at last with my Q:
I designed a site in 2010 using Golive CS on a (now) 16 year old Powermac G4 (10,3,9). The laptop still works fine, but cannot exchange with internet except to do the ftp transfer when I edit or maintain the site. The Powermac won't last for ever I know, so I need a plan B.
I have a Macbook Pro and Imac both OS X 10,9,5 using Adobe CS6 (the last version on CDrom) but the suite does not include Dreamweaver. I cannot afford to progress to the Adobe rental scheme, and neither am I a web designer, but keep this site up to date and working with GoLive for a friend for her small business.
What web editing WYSIWIG app (apart from anything Adobe) could I use on Maverick to access the site by ftp and edit it? Or to work on a local version and then transfer it by ftp? Editing would be changing text and images, creating a couple of new pages, linking the changes, things like that)
I actually have Classicftp installed and can access the server from my Macbook and imac, but am really looking for a programme that can cope with a Golive created site (no tables, little CSS just html4)
thank you in advance.
Kathy
