I used Ripit and Handbrake on Dark Knight....movie works fine, but Ive got the Bank Robbery 3 or 4 times back to back on there. Is there something out there were I can edit the movie....there are one or two more movies that have double scenes, and I dont feel like dubbing them again.:confused::confused:

You know, I have the same problem. I used Metadata Hootenany to set a new chapter (after the third or fourth repeat of the bank scene, so that way it continues with the movie afterward,) but MH will only save the file as .mov. I'm not sure what the difference is between .mov and .m4v, but all my other files are .m4v and I'd like to keep it that way.

So I'm looking for suggestions, too! Thanks.

Yeah, that is what happens on this title if you use Ripit and Handbrake. I think you'll find that it isn't a matter of simply editing out the chapter that repeats.

You don't need Ripit for this title. Rip it and convert using Handbrake only, the specific title method. Put the disk in, open Handbrake, when it asks for source, select cancel, then go into file, open title specific (or something like that), change the default to the desired title (I think it is Title 1), go. There is a lot of talk about his on the Handbrake forum, the Ripdifferent forum, here in earlier discussion. All you need is the latest Handbrake, latest VLC installed, and using the title specific method in Handbrake.

Thank you. I presumed the Title 1 method would work from a Video_TS folder just like it would from disk. I've found converting from TS folders to be faster, and since it's an exact copy of the disk, I just presumed it would work.

Good to know! Thanks again!

That generally does work, but not on Dark Knight. That is exactly what I tried first, ripping to a Video_TS folder with Ripit and then Handbraking that. No go - you get the multi-first chapter thing. I also tried MactheRipper and Handbrake. No go. There is some combination that works involving RipIt, MTR, and/or DETOX, I can't remember, it is on the ripdifferent forum. But on this title to get it to mp4 or mkv, use title only method in Handbrake with nothing else.

To continue, I fiind that I am hardly ever using Ripit any more becuase I typically don't want just a video_ts folder. I typically want the mp4 for Western Digital TV, or less often, all the way to DVD. And it if is something I havn't been able to rip to my hard drive first using MTR, then I have always been successful going all the way to mp4 using Handbrake one way or the other - the title specific method for harder titles.
