Hi folks. It seems that changes in both the hosting services and Mac Rumors itself have finally outdated the tutorial links in the opening post of the thread. Nothing in the Flickr tutorial is relevant with the revamp they have done and ImageShack is no longer free. Imgur is my current 2nd hosting service but it isn't in the tutorial links. The revamp of MR broke Reefs TIMG extensions, but also made them not the necessity they used to be for quoting images. Just double click to view full size.

In short, the person who opens the July POTD thread is quite free to remove the links to my tutorials from that document. They have served their purposes and need to be retired until the next major Internet earthquake, at which point we will all begin again.

I'd like to thank both yourself and @TheReef for all your help with the old systems. Keeping them updated and working, with very few thanks along the way. It was very much appreciated, especially from myself, with a definite inability to code even if my life depended upon it!

Yes a big thank you to you for keeping these up to date. Tbh I didn't have a clue how to post from Flickr when I started posting. Actually as I recall, I don't think I even new I'd need to post from a hosting site, to show large pictures.

Thanks for the work that you've done. I have edited the starting post of this month. This is usually recycled for next months starting post.

Doesn't seem long since we were doing it, but it's probably a long time considering the field. Many thanks for doing it all and setting it up, and many thanks to Reef for the coding. I used that a lot and said a silent thanks every time I used it!

Just a reminder to not include the links to my tutorials in the July POTD thread opener.

Thanks to the above for your comments and compliments. Building the tutorials was an interesting tour through Indesign. There are some hidden tricks in that app when you are building a pdf for web publishing that I didn't know about. I'm glad it helped some navigate the waters of photo posting when MR seemed to do what it could to make it a challenge at every turn. And I'm also glad those days seem to be behind us.

When I get my computer squared away and my race car finished, I'll get back to posting photos.

Thanks. As far as my contribution goes, it's all Kalisti's fault. He sent be a PM asking for some sort of organizational intro for POTD with posting instructions in 08 or so. Seems someone told him I could explain things OK. Don't know where that came from...
