After a lot of consideration and research, I have chosen to order a new macbook pro from 2015 i.7 with 16gb, a 512mb ssd, and I am still doubting about the processor. I was going to go for 2.5 ghz and then I was told in a store that I should take either 2.2(because "I don't need more") or 2.8("it will last me longer"). I was also suggested to take a bigger memory... I just don't get it.
I started editing with final cut proX(might be editing 4k later), also work with Adobe light room. What would you recommand?
I heard that 2.8 can heat up and make loads of noise. Is this overkill to take this one? I could use some advice. I just want to make a right decision and use it for some years without regrets.
Thanks for helping me. I want to order it asap.

hotter and noisier and drain battery faster, yes but it is relative , also relative to workload.

If the model you are getting is not using discrete GPU (AMD/Nvidia) this is much less an issue, also without extra heat from dGPU you will have way less CPU throttling down, less fan noise, and without dGPU battery life will be longer already.

faster, finish task faster, more future proof for speed reason , yes , again matter of degree since these processor are not far off from each other in term of performance (max turbo clock).

more SSD vs faster CPU, more SSD usually more useful in mid-long term, also bigger SSD tend to be slightly faster.

more RAM, 2015 model now come standard with 16GB, no more upgrade from there.
