I've been doing some text editing in PDFs lately. Does anyone know if editorial symbols can be downloaded from somewhere for Mac? I have been able to find substitutes for some symbols in the regular symbols sets available with emojis. These include an insert caret (⋀ or ^), a capital letter indication (≡), and a period indication (☉). I'm wondering if other editor's symbols are available somewhere. I can draw some in Preview, but my hand isn't too steady, so the symbols look at bit odd.

I'm not sure what's available in Preview, but typically copyeditors (there's a book editor in my family) create their own or buy symbol stamps libraries to use in Adobe Acrobat. Here's a link of an example stamp library that be purchased:

There's also the built-in annotation tools in Acrobat. Here's a site that does a decent job describing them:
I find this summary easier to understand than Adobe's support file for the same content.

Thanks, Namara. I've been drawing my own in Preview. How do I save the symbols I draw in Emojis & Symbols for use in Preview's Markup?
