Hey guys,

Just looking over the Back to School promotion details:
http://store.apple.com/ca/browse/campaigns/back_to_school?mco=MTgxNTgxOTU

and it says purchases can be made through the regular Apple online as well as the online Education site...and in the "how to claim area," it just says you have to send back the USP labels of the iPod Touch and the iMac...

So then couldnt anyone who bought those two things enter the promotion? I don't see where they ask for proof of being a student?

Also what if you purchase a printer and want the rebate for that promo...do you have to pick one or the other since both require labels and you'd only have the one label?

I'm so confused!!

I've bought stuff with student discount before. All I had to do was type my student ID (a number) to get into the Education store.

I don't think you can combine the printer promo with the iPod promo, but read the terms and conditions to confirm.

You can combine them. I did it last year when I bought my 13" MBP. I did it in store though

I'm also interested in this. I'm a faculty member at a university and on campus store web site there's a direct link to the apple store. If I enter the apple website that way the educational discounts are already applied to each item (EX: iMac 21.5 1TB ATI gpu is discounted $100 to $1399).

Funny thing is, I can access the site without having to log into my university's VPN.

So when you mail the UPC bar code, does apple require you submit a copy of your school ID? Or some verification of "student" status?
