Education Discount off Refurb iMac?

Hi all, been following the new iMac release closely as im in the market for a mac desktop. Bought a MacBook a few months ago and now im hooked

Ive been wondering about buying a refurb white iMac instead of getting a new one, as it would quite a bit cheaper if I can get HE discount on it as well? Or is HE discount not available on refurb products?

You'll only get the refurbished discount which is greater then the normal education one.

No Ed discounts on refurbs.

For the money you'd save on a refurb, you might as well buy a new iMac with the ed discount and take the free iPod and printer that come with the educational promotion. Sell them, if you don't need them.

Hi thanks for the replies, I didn't think I would get both discounts.

Unfortunately I don't think we get the free ipod offer over here in the UK?

If we do its news to me, and I would be grateful for a link or some info?

If you do decide to go the refurbished route, make sure you go to the Apple HE store online, then go to the refurb site. That way, you can get AppleCare at the HE discounted price.

True, but it is often cheaper to buy the AppleCare on ebay.

Does anyone know if the uk store does have such promotions? If they do it might be worth me waiting and get a free something
