hi

i'm planning on buying a macbook in the next couple of weeks, and i was going to buy it from the apple store in london. however i spoke to a friend of mine who's at university and he offered to buy it for me from the apple higher education website. gets me a fairly good discount and i think they throw in applecare as well.

question is, is this going to be a problem if something goes wrong with it and i have to take it in to get repaired? he said he'd get it in my name and using my credit card details, but i'm still worried that i might have some trouble at some point in the future. should i just pay the full price (as i was going to do anyway)?

any thoughts?

no, there will be no problem, now or in the future.
