I ordered a 16" MBP last week. With my configuration, it was due to ship 1/24. But because I added the "pro software bundle," it added a week to the shipping time now shipping between 2/3 and 2/8. Seems like adding a software license to your account shouldn't bump shipping time back a week.

How very strange...

Rabble.

Even more strange… I wasn’t about to leave a thousand dollars worth of software on the table (though how much a 3rd grade teacher will use Final Cut is beyond me…)

It’s been a while since I’ve ordered one of these at work, but I’m pretty sure that the bundled apps do get copied to the computer, and then the first user of the computer claims them for their App Store account.
You can always get the bundle later and separately through your educational Apple store site.
