Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro 256 GB, newest model.
My Photos library is 200 GB, I would like to keep it on my Mac.
It consists of 100 GB photos, 100 GB videos.

What would be the best way to expand?
Can I split my Photos library easy?

I also have a QNAP NAS, but this takes away my portability.
I am open to split my Photos library, one for photos, one for videos, although I don't like it.

Any advice? Thank you.

I know you said you want to keep it on your MBP, however since your library is most likely going to grow over time, putting your library on an external drive would be best. I do it with both my Photos and iTunes libraries.

Just thinking out loud here...
What if you copied the Photos library file, and then just deleted all Photos in the one, and videos in the other?

Not sure what you're trying to accomplish here though, since that would still be 200GB of data, just two files vs. one.
