Hi everybody,

I'm trying to repair an imac EMC 2266 A1224
It is a 20 inch imac from beginning of 2009

the problem is that when i boot the imac, I hear 3 short tones + 3 long Tones + 3 short tones

According to apple support website, it means that the EFI rom seems corrupted and the imac is trying to restore it.

In my case, I can't see nothing happening. Screen remains Black and nothing can show me that rom could restore.

Le led inside are, from left to right:

1 : green
2 : green
3 : turned off

What i Tried :
- Alt (option ) on startup : nothing happen
- try to boot from USB Drive with macos 10.10 : nothing happen
- Usign a restorefirmware CD 1.3 et 1.7 : the disc seems to be ridden but is ejected after few seconds.
- using another HDD from another imac : nothing happen
- Try to change RAM for :
One working on another imac : nothing more happen
one that I suspect not working : 3 short beeps ( different from the beginning)

i'v got few questions :

Does firmware restoration take a long time ? (maybe does the mac doing something but i don't wait enough)
Has anyone ever meet this problem ?
i ve read that one solution could be to buy a new chipset to replace mine on the mainboard. Does anyone know about it ?
Could it be a hardware problem other than ROM EFI ? FOr example : could i be something about the processor ?

Thank You for your help
