So I was considering an eGPU. The cheapest route I could go was a Sonnet enclosure and I have an existing Nvidia 980Ti. But I'm learning that's probably not compatible. Or is it possible? Is Radeon the only GPU vender compatible with MacOS/Mojave?

There are no Nvidia web drivers for Mojave. Non released yet and no native support for 980 in Mojave. I use a 680 which as there was an EVGA Mac edition has native support in Mojave.

Apple been pushing amd gpu’s out for quite some time now, have to go back quite a while for iMac or mbp that had an Nvidia gpu.

Nvidia been releasing web drivers but have to be careful when upgrading etc, as in make sure the new web driver out before upgrade.
