I was listening to Rush Limbaugh during my lunch break a week or so ago and he said something close to the following...

"Yesterday Marta (his wife) sent me an Instant Message to tell me [whatever]. Actually, I use iChat so she sent me an iChat I guess...anyway, blah blah blah"

So far I've heard him mention Mac (and state that they only have 1 PC but many Macs), OS X and now iChat. And I only get to listen for 1/2 an hour a day, out of 3 hours of show time. I think it's cool to hear someone with a national reach talking up the Mac.

Funny thing about his wife IMing him is that he broadcasts (at that time anyway) from his house. I figure she must not be in the studio but can easily contact him this way. I wonder if they are using Airport...

Annoyingly, the Rush Limbaugh web site only streams Real and WMP, no QT. I don't get it.

Well personally I don't like listening to Republicans who are more interested in making fun of Democrats and calling liberals nazis than argueing their ideas in a reasonable manner. And who will say something just so incredibly stupid (like that illegal immigrants on welfare are draining our economy, when in fact anyone who can think probably, even someone stupid will click "hey, wait a second, there is no such thing as illegal immigrants on welfare since they couldn't get the money them being illegal immigrants and all!") but won't let anone make a comment against it, or instantly kick them off the minute that they do. But hey that's just me.

I don't see how your post relates

Yikes! I was only trying to say that I think it's cool that Mac hardware and software are positively mentioned in a national format by a well known person. It's kinda like when you see a Mac on TV or in a movie but better 'cause he talks about them, they aren't just sitting there. I certainly wasn't trying to be political.

Apparently, you don't really listen to the show and are like one of those PC users who know nothing about Macs but will bash them with untrue statements. As a Mac user, I'm very familiar with the type. :)

I'm just speaking my opinion on the show. Since I figuared this thread was more about Rush Limbaugh and his show and not just his use of macs.

You're right I don't listen to his show. But I am very familiar with the guy and others like him in general.

What is it about rush limbaugh that inspires such rage in people? I have never heard of a more hated/loved person on the radio. This thread had nothing to do with rush's politics, and you turned it into a rush-bash. You wouldn't like him even if he brought down the entertainment value of the show and just "talked reasonably about his ideas". By the way, he puts people who disagree with him on the air all the time. You obviously don't listen to him. The illegal immigrant thing is naive on your part. Don't you think that with people collceting 4 or 5 welfare checks out there, it is really hard to cheat the system? Get a fake ID, get a fake SS card, and blamo, you can get welfare! Also, in california, illegal immigrants can get a special ID card which allows them to get a job, open a bank account and other things like that.

I think it's awesome rush uses macs. I know he has only ever used macs. Thats great.

Howard Stern was havinbg trouble with his PC a few weeks ago on the show, and he said like 100 mac people e-mailed him saying he should switch, but he said he wouldn't. His loss.
