Eject Button???

The top down view of the keyboard at http://www.apple.com/macbookair/ shows an eject button on the keyboard next to the power key. This thing doesn't have an optical drive, so what is this for??

And theirs no keyboard backlight control keys either which are usually at f5 & f6...

A press and hold should bring up a HUD giving you the option to eject network mounts, disk images, ipods and external disks.

I've suggested this in the past. A dedicated key for optical media is silly.

The older macbook air's had it as well, I think the main point of it is for external drives.

That's 'cause there's no backlit keyboard on the new Air's anymore.

Yeah. If you're using the External Superdrive, you need an eject Button. But I've owned an Air for 2.5 years and used the superdrive like 3 times.

Maybe it ejects usb drives so you don't have to pull them out by yourself?

It is a little pointless, but it's nice to keep the keyboard layouts consistent, and I've used it a few times with my external drive.
