My Windows drama continues. It seems that like some others, in addition to not getting working ATI drivers, I did not get a working Apple Eject Key driver on my MacDrivers CD. (The ATI problem has been resolved, details elsewhere.)

So I'm in the middle of installing Call of Duty, when it asks me to insert the second disk. But the program has taken over the screen, so I can't get to the Eject Disk option, and my keyboard doesn't respond. What do Windows users do at this point?

(My CD drive is a 110D, so it has the paperclip hole, but it's situated so that when I squeeze the paperclip in there, the drive only opens part way. I can't get the drawer to fully extend.)

(Did Apple make available the drivers anywhere so that I could download it from within my Windows environment?)

How about opening Windows Explorer, selecting the CD drive, right-click and choose Eject :)

Like I said (and you even quoted it), the Call of Duty installer takes over the GUI and removes any ability to do other things. Quitting the installer to eject the disk aborts the installation, and I have to start over. How do I open Explorer with no options on the screen?

The left apple key will bring up the start menu so at that point you can navigate to my computer then right click on the disk and eject it. Or install the sharware app that the person a few posts ago suggested.

Hmm. What version of the drivers do you have? My Eject key works fine.

The left Apple key is also a good option. :)

I'm using the same Boot Camp 1.1.1 that everyone else is using. Whatever drivers it makes I'll leave for Apple to explain. But yes, the left Apple key works great. So problem solved.

(I guess I should get one of those Windows XP for Dummies books.)

Windows Key + E opens Explorer. Don't know what that is on an Apple keyboard. Also try pressing ESC when in fullscreen during the installer. That might minimize it (just a guess).

EDIT: Not minimize but take it out of fullscreen mode.

Windows Eject

The shareware program that I identified in the 2nd post of this thread uses hot keys, shift+page down to eject, shift+page up to close. It works great on my 3 Ghz Mac Pro.
