Hmm... I believe Apple intend 10.11.1 to come out when they think "it's done / good enough to be released to the general public". I don't think they plan a .1 release to be available on a specific date.
I'm sure last two weeks of October is about right though. We've had three betas already now.

My career is international in nature and I long ago learned to just write "21 October 2015" as that's unambiguous everywhere.

Having said that, I'd rather be the yankee than the yanker...

Having said that, I'd rather be the yankee than the yanker...

It's generally accepted in business that when you are dealing with US colleagues then you use the US form for dates. Indeed, when I worked for a British company it was deemed that our official language for correspondence should be American English, as British English has too many spelling differences from American English.

I HATE when they have schedules. Things should be released when they are ready, not according to their greedy, lets sell stuff schedule (like it happened with iOS9).

Communications is a two-way street. When it comes to dates, exactitude is appreciated by all. My point is that there is a date format that works anywhere, and that's the one I use by choice and, after many years now, by habit.
