I'm currently running El Capitan 10.11.6 on my Mac Pro (Early 2009). I noticed the App Store shows El Capitan 10.11.6 as one of the available updates. When I select 'Download' it says that v10.11.6 is already installed on this computer.

So why is it included on the list as an available update??

Can you help to unconfuse me?

OK, thanks. I guess my confusion is that I didn't remember earlier versions of OS X being listed as updates like this after being installed.

Edited to add: I just noticed that the button says 'Download' and not 'Update'!
