Will any program that I currently can run on Yosemite run on Capitan? E.g. I have Adobe CS5 and Word 2011.

You need to take care about Adobe CS5 because Java 6 support on OS X ends in El Capitan, meaning later version will not support Java 6.
Office 2011 should be fine.
