Hello and I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong place.

I have installed the "GM" release and am surprised that a Beta update has just come up on the App Store application. Simple question: should I install it? If so, why? GM was supposed to be the final release before general availability, correct?

Thanks!
Fernando

I think you'll need to un-enroll or you just keep getting beta releases.

The name of that GM installer is OS X El Capitan GM Release Candidate.
Candidate means (to me) that version may be the same as final release, or maybe there could be some changes prior to final.
Things happen... such as a sudden need to address a new security issue, such as the big circus around the issues with Xcode.

The beta update is for 10.11.1

Thanks, by unenrolling I could make the update disappear; I can (hopefully) wait for the final release of El Capitan.
