El Capitan is ruining my life... What can I do?

A lot of things seem like a downgrade to me in El Capitan.

Disk Utility is a nightmare. Where is my permission repairs?
Using Multiple Desktops is now harder. When I hit F3 I used to see every window open, now it's all crazy.
No more Dashboard when I press F4, ect...

What is going on? I feel like my Mac is a virus that I have no control over. Who is responsible for all this?
If Steve was alive, entire teams would be fired, buildings would be destroyed, but Mac would be seamless and highly functional.

Can I fix El Capitan? Can I go back to Yosemite? What do we do? Is Mac dying???

Did you upgrade to the .1 release? .0 was a nightmare, but .1 is much improved. The difference is not subtle, along the lines of the Saints defense in the past couple games.

I found El Capitan ver 10.11.0 rather iffy, on my primary 15" 2015 MBPr, and my secondary 15" Mid 2012 MBPr.

Translated it was randomly buggy. I'm not avoiding being specific, but it was truly buggy in a way that was never the same. Never the same error messages, never the same frequency of locking up, yes force quit or holding down the power button to shut down when nothing else worked was de rigor.

When I first posted about this not long ago I was challenged by someone here that copied and pasted the changes that were listed by Apple. Well I can tell you from lots of experience that those are only the ones Apple decides to post. Some changes are not exactly what Apple wants to admit was a problem so those are silently included.

Now I have both computers running v 10.11.1 and it's a shocking absolutely stunning example of smooth, fast, stable and completely crash free operation. Apple's done a fine job, at least in my experience after many long intense computing sessions on 10.11.1

I could not be happier!

Interesting that you should bring that up. My personal policy and practice, knowing Apple well, is to wait until .3

I had mitigating circumstances this time and decided to install 10.11.0 just one week before the .1 release.

So needless to say I'm very relieved that .1 did the trick.
