I installed El Capital Beta 8 (15A279b). After a few days my Photos library starting crashing upon opening, so I did the repair library command by holding Option-Cmd while opening the app. But upon getting 75% done, the repair crashes. This happens every time, and I cannot get farther than that to complete the repair. So my library just cannot be opened. I am looking for any possible ideas on a fix. Thanks!

Your best bet is to "show package contents" of that photo library, copy everything inside, and create a new library, then copy everything back to photos app.

I just tried that and unfortunately no luck. The repair got to a different spot and then just stuck there. Didn't crash the same way as before but also didn't complete. Hope I'm not out of luck. All my photos are in iCloud but the photo books I have made will be lost...

You can give a chance for official El Capitan, released in two days from now if possible.

This just happened to me after updating to Sierra 10.12.1 and now Photos would hardly work.
Totally devastated.
