Even though the program is only 1mb.. it takes a long time to download the individual sheep. Are these files big ones that are going to gather up on my HD and take up considerable space?

Isn't there also a cache slider under Preferences? You can see how much space it uses. I think the default is 1 GB.

It was mentioned in the recent "What screen saver are you using" thread. I DLed it too and I've been having the same issue. Someone in the other thread said you may have to leave it on overnight to get it to work the first time. I may try tonight and see, but that seems pretty odd.

I have no idea about the file size though.

Ok, I left it on overnight and its working now... very cool screensaver, definitely worth it. From what the guys were saying in the other thread, it keeps getting better and better the longer you use it.

1 sheep, 2 sheep, 3 sheep

Yes, it does take a while to download everything, I've had mine running for about a week and a half and its just increadible, you can dictate how big you want it to be under the prefrences. For the first like 4 days it didn't do that much but all of a sudden now its going great guns, I see a new sheep every day, I love it.
